Version 3 System Administrator is only compatible with version 3 system software.

  • You can, however, import a version 2 database into the version 3 System Administrator.
  • Installing version 3 System Administrator will not affect any prior version 2 installations. It will install as a separate application.
  • If you have any prior version 3 System Administrator installed, use Control Panel -> Programs and Features (Add or Remove Programs) to uninstall it prior to installing this new version.

What's New in DSX System Administrator Version 3.31

System Administrator 3.31 is the companion administrator version for DSX system software 3.42. It provides the following enhancements:

  • (3.29) For compatibility with future SIP trunk providers, the setting System: VoIP: Providers: Domain (1832-05) has been added. Instructions for using this new setting will be provided in the SIP Trunk Setup Guides as required.
  • Stations: Config: IntraMail Pro: Email Notification: Message Disposition
The Sync When Read option for Email Synchronization is now functional.
  • System: Config: Communication: Ethernet: WAN Web Port
This is the router port required for Email Synchronization.
  • System: Config: Email: Email Response
Optional entry for Email Synchronization DDNS compatibility.
  • System: Reset: Scheduling
You can reset the system immediately or at a scheduled time.
  • (3.28) Queued Message Notification Option
    • Message Notification can optionally Ignore or Queue notification requests when there is no active notification destination. To queue requests until a destination becomes active, check Stations: Config: IntraMail Pro: Phone/Pager Notification: Queue Notifications. See Queued Message Notification for more.
    • For Department Groups, Queued Message Notification is available in Stations: Department Groups: IntraMail Pro: Phone/Pager Notification: Queue Notifications.
    • System software versions prior to 3.40.15 always operated as Ignore.
  • (3.28) IntraMail Utility USB Prompt Update with Windows 7 More Reliable.
    • Timeouts during USB Prompt Update are less likely.
  • (3.28) The system WAN IP Address entry is moved from System: Config: Communication: Ethernet to System: VoIP: Providers: WAN Address.
    • When used in conjunction with System Software 3.40.15 or above, the system should automatically detect the WAN IP address of the router to which the DSX is connected. This entry should no longer have to be entered manually. The WAN IP is additionally updated while connected.
    • In systems using ATC, CommPartners, and Windstream that do not have any remote IP telephones, the WAN IP must still be entered manually.
  • (3.28) System: Config: Email: Email Notification Synchronization.
    • WAN Address: When setting up Email Synchronization, enter the URL or WAN IP Address that can be used to contact the DSX from the Internet. This field can be entered as either IPv4 notation or as a domain name that can be resolved by a DNS or Dynamic DNS (DDNS) server.
    • Port: The default Email Synchronization port is 8080, but you can change it to meet unique site requirements. It can be any valid port (1-65535) but the port must be forwarded to the DSX LAN IP address at the Web Access Port in the site router.
  • (3.28) In System: Ports, the IP Stations tab is renamed SIP Stations. The IP Lines tab is renamed SIP Lines.
