Basic Setup
1211-01: Card Type
The T1/PRI PCB will auto-ID as circuit type 06.
1213-07: T1/PRI Signaling Type
Set the T1/PRI signaling type. The options are:
0 = T1 (Do not select for PRI)
1 = NI-2 (ISDN NI-2)
2 = DMS-100 (ISDN DMS-100)
1213-08: PRI Overlap Dialing
Use this option to enable or disable PRI Overlap Dialing. Normally, you should disable this option since Overlap Dialing is generally not available in North America. The options are:
0 = No (Overlap Dialing disabled)
1 = Yes (Overlap Dialing enabled)
1602-01: Interdigit Timer
When placing a manually-dialed PRI call, the system waits for the Interdigit Time after the user completes dialing before sending the call over the PRI line. By default, this interval is 6 seconds but can be customized if required. Note that Speed Dial, Last Number Redial, and Save Number Dialed calls are sent immediately (without the interdigit delay).
To have the manually-dialed call sent immediately, the user just dials # after the last digit of their outgoing number.
Programming for Outgoing Caller ID (CID)
1011-02: System Telephone Number
Enter the system telephone number (up to 18 digits). This will be the outgoing CID number unless overwritten by the line or extension programming below.
3101-07: Calling Party ID Telephone Number
For this line, the system will use the number stored in this option (up to 18 digits) for outgoing CID unless modified by extension programming below.
2101-05: Outgoing ANI ID
For PRI calls, this option specifies the number that will overlay (replace) the last digits of the outgoing CID number (up to 4 digits). For example:
1. If the system number is 203-926-5400 (set in 1011-02: System Telephone Number),
2. And the entry for this option is 302.
3. And there is no override set in 3101-07: Calling Party ID Telephone Number,
4. The outgoing CID number will be 203-9026-5302.
DSX provides individual En-bloc dialing for PRI lines which makes the operation of PRI essentially transparent to the user. It is not necessary to enable Store and Forward for PRI lines to facilitate En-bloc dialing. |
