The greeting that outside callers hear when your Automated Attendant answers is the Instruction Menu for the active Call Routing Mailbox. When you rerecord the Instruction Menu, your callers will hear the new greeting.
By default, your outside calls are answered by Call Routing Mailbox 001, so you'll need to rerecord the Instruction Menu Message for Call Routing Mailbox 001.
To rerecord the Automated Attendant greeting (Instruction Menu Message):
- From the System Administrator's Mailbox (normally extension 300), dial SA (72) to reach the System Administrator options.
- Dial I (4) to select the Instruction Menus option.
- When prompted, enter the number of the Call Routing Mailbox whose Instruction Menu Message you want to record.
- Do one of the following:
- Dial L (5) to listen to the currently recorded Instruction Menu Message.
- Dial R (7) to record a new Instruction Menu Message.
- Dial E (3) to erase the Instruction Menu Message.
- Dial X (9) to exit.
Refer to Instruction Menu in the DSX Software Manual for more. |
