Backing Up the Site Database (Programming) |
| You can back up your site database to either the IntraMail CompactFlash Card (if installed) or a customer-provided CompactFlash card (FAT16 formatted). Once backed-up, you can use the CompactFlash to restore the site data if required. The entire system database uses only about 500 Kbytes Of CompactFlash memory. |
To back up your site data:
- Insert the CompactFlash card onto which you want to store the site data into the system’s IntraMail CompactFlash Card slot.
- Use 9041-01: Backup to back up the site data. During the backup:
- You see Please Wait.
- The CPU Serial Port LED (DS-80/160) winks on (green).
- The CompactFlash LED occasionally winks on (red).
- When the backup completes (after about 1 minute), you see: Backup Complete!
To restore your site data:
- Insert the CompactFlash card on which you stored the site data into the system’s IntraMail CompactFlash Card slot.
- Use 9041-02: Restore to restore up the site data.
- The system will automatically restart with the restored data loaded.
| For more on using 9041-01: Backup and 9041-02: Restore, see the DSX Software Manual. |
